Auto Race Your Ride #5 Presented by O'Reilly Auto Parts

It had been nearly a month since we had any local racing at Route 66. After perusing all the local track's schedules, I had low expectations for today's Race Your Ride! Was I wrong!! With beautiful weather we had an excellent car count with a variety of cars. Everything from street cars, Juniors to A/Fuel dragsters. Above is Mike Edstrom driving the Al Roerig A/Fuel dragster. We had an abundance of street cars.

The Juniors showed up to test for tomorrow's race for the Wally in the JDRL Challenge.

Amongst the cars making licensing runs was Mark Cryer in the "Nu Big Thing" Smartcar. Mark was gettlng his 9-second license.

There were plenty of race cars testing also.

All told it was a pleasant surprise of some great racing. The drivers and teams were able to get a lot of testing in, especially those participating in tomorrow's Rockett Brand Racing Fuel ET Bracket Race with the NHRA All Access Challenge and the JDRL Challenge. We have two Wally's to hand out tomorrow
