I took a drive out to the Golf Farm today to check on track preparations for tomorrow's GLX Snocross season opening Amsoil Performance race. The track is taking shape and I am assuming the final grooming will occur tonight and be ready for the 9:00 a.m. hot laps. The weather report is calling for windy conditions with a high temperature of 39 degrees. It's looking to be a good day for racing. If you haven't seen snocross racing, come out to the Golf Farm on Rand Rd. in Wauconda. The races begin at 10:00 a.m. Also today, I saw a new logo for the Route 66 Raceway Amsoil Championship Snocross race. It appears the track has secured sponsorship for the event. Needless to say, that is a good thing. I will hold off advising who is the sponsor until the formal announcement.
Here's hoping you can find time tomorrow to come out and see some great snocross racing. I will write a post-race report and have photos tomorrow night. If you come out, find me and have your picture taken with your favorite rider and sled.
