First, I want to apologize to those that follow this blog for my absence. In my last post, I mentioned that I was having knee replacement surgery. Well, all didn't go quite as planned! However, I am now on the way to recovery and am resuming my daily activities. Second, I want to congratulate Jimmie Johnson, Chad Knaus, and all members of the No. 48 Hendrick Motorsports Team on their Sprint Cup Championship. In addition, I would also like to congratulate Austin Dillon on his Nationwide Championship and Matt Crafton on the Camping World Truck Championship. It was a long season and by the time I got to October I was getting tired. However, now I can't wait to the beginning to the 2014 season. Janet and I will be at the Chicagoland Speedway on December 14, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the annual Santa in Gatorade Victory Lane. This is a charity event to benefit The Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots. Bring an unwrapped toy or a $10 donation and enjoy the fun. Click here for further information. Now that I'm getting back on my feet, I will be updating and adding additional photos from the past several seasons. I will post on the blog when these become available. I want to thank all those who sent their best wishes and prayers during my ordeal. It was greatly appreciated.
