 This was a strange day at Route 66. The weather looked to be good and everything started on time. After which everything that could go wrong, did! There were scoring problems, oil-downs, minor accidents, etc. It was a series of starts and stops. At the end of the day, the Junior Drag Challenge had to be stopped because of persistent drizzle and the remaining five modified dragsters will run tomorrow in conjunction with the Rockett Brand Fuels ET Bracket Series. We did finish the Sportsman Division with Jesse Lasik defeating Bobby Churchill Jr. in the final earning a Wally. Kamryn Schubbe had the fastest reaction time for the Sportsman. The Chicagoland Buick Club also ran today. Its been a long time since I saw that many Grand Nationals in one place. Next up is the Rockett Brand Fuels ET Bracket Series.
