The WXRX Stone and Double T 200 Enduro

Today, was my 2015 opening day for auto racing with Rockford Speedway's WXRX Stone and Double T 200 Enduro. The weather started clear, but a little cool. However, as the day wore on it warmed with a little wind. Otherwise, it was a great day to start Rockford's season. The racing started with a 3 1/2 hour open practice session which included everything from mini-cup cars to Super Trucks. Here are some images from that session.

This was followed by the Enduro race. The race started with a crash almost on the first lap when a car got upside own in Turn 3. After the restart, the racing was hot and heavy between several cars. The "half-way" break took place at lap 120 and the Monza kink was added to the course. After the break, several cars, again, were battling for the lead, but one-by-one they all had trouble. Jay Orr #18 was steady all day and drove to the lead late in the event. Jay scored his second win in the WXRX Stone and Double T 200 Enduro. Here are some pics from the event.
